Woodland Park Clubhouse member, Carter, stands in honor of Senator Ted Stevens as the motorcade carrying his body passes by. Senator Stevens, a statesman - and tremendous supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs and Alaska kids - will be missed.


Senator Begich Visits Clubhouse

Alaska Senator Mark Begich visited the Woodland Park Boys & Girls Club Campus (Spenard, Anchorage, Alaska) on Wednesday, August 25, 2010. The Senator is a former Boys & Girls Club Board Member and continues his commitment to youth by championing youth programs that offer safe havens after school, food for hungry kids, and wellness activities that promote healthy, active lifestyles. During his visit, Senator Begich met with members of the Boys & Girls Club, was presented a Boys & Girls Club membership card, and witnessed the unveiling of a winning poster for the "Safe Havens After School" campaign. Thank you, Senator Begich, for your commitment to our youth, our state, and Boys & Girls Clubs!
