2010 Youth of the Year

2009 YOY

2010 YOUTH OF THE YEAR

CONGRATULATIONS DAVID H!

BIO:

David H. started attending the Mt. View Community Center Boys & Girls Club in the winter of 2005.   It was around this time, his freshman year of high school, that David began to encounter several problems.  During a Job Ready session, at the Boys & Girls Club, David was re-introduced to some familiar teachings.  The session was discussing the importance of academic success in order to achieve your desired dreams.  This concept had been installed in David since an early age, but somehow he had drifted from these lessons. David dedicated himself to his studies and continues to be a regular on the honor roll at East Anchorage High.  David also participates in varsity football, basketball and track, is involved with student government and active in his church.  He is a kind, generous and respectful during his visits to the Mountain View Clubhouse.  He is always quick to lend a hand to staff or engage peers in a conversation and assist younger members with their homework.  David is someone you admire, respect and would be proud to call your own.
